Her restless spirit has taken her all over the world, from the sandy beaches of Bali to the snowy peaks of the Alps. Growing up, Lena was always the curious one. She asked questions that others were afraid to ask, and she never seemed satisfied with the answers she got. Her parents encouraged her thirst for knowledge, and they took her on trips to different countries whenever they could. Lena remembers vividly the first time she set foot on foreign soil, in a tiny village in Thailand where she was mesmerized by the colorful markets and the spicy food. From then on, she was hooked. In college, Lena majored in anthropology and spent a semester studying abroad in Ghana. She loved immersing herself in the local culture, living with a host family and learning the local language. She also volunteered in a school and a clinic, which opened her eyes to the challenges faced by people living in poverty. It was a life-changing experience, and Lena came back home with a new perspective on life. Since then, Lena has taken every opportunity to travel and learn. She has hiked the Inca Trail in Peru, surfed in Australia, and danced salsa in Cuba. Along the way, she has made friends from all over the world and learned about different customs, beliefs, and values. Her favorite part of any trip is sitting down with locals and listening to their stories. Lena doesn't know where her next adventure will take her, but she's excited to find out.
