Off the court, Kobe was dedicated to his family and charity work. He founded the Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation to help young people in need and was an advocate for women's basketball. He also won an Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film in 2018 for "Dear Basketball," a love letter to the sport he dedicated his life to.
