My
name in Chinese characters is 沁汝. The first character, 沁, means to moisten or nourish, and the second character, 汝, means you. Together, my name translates to "to nourish you." I believe that my name reflects my purpose in life, which is to nourish and care for others. This is also why I chose to study social work in college. I am deeply passionate about helping people and making a positive impact in their lives. In my free time, I enjoy volunteering at a local soup kitchen and mentoring young people in my community. It brings me great joy to see the difference I can make in the lives of others, no matter how small. I also believe that self-care is important in order to be able to care for others effectively. I prioritize my physical and mental health by practicing mindfulness and staying active through running and yoga. My name, 沁汝, reminds me of my purpose and the importance of being of service to others. I hope to continue to live up to the meaning of my name by making a positive impact in the world.
